SALEO Scholarships 2017-2018
























           Southern Arizona Logistics Education Organization (SALEO) is offering scholarships for post-secondary course work in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, inventory control, warehousing, marketing, logistics management, logistics-related software and other areas of study that fall under the logistics and supply chain management field. The scholarships are for study at a two- or a four-year institution and enable students to acquire or upgrade skills in logistics and related areas. The amounts are $1,000 for full-time study and $500 for part-time study for a student taking two courses. The awards are for a semester beginning January 2018 (or fall 2017). New for 2017-2018: All Students taking APICS Tucson certification classes are eligible to apply for the scholarship.








The James Greathouse APICS Certification Professional Scholarship supports individuals who are seeking the APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation, the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation or the Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) designation.


Scholarship recipients are provided with vouchers for APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD courseware and exams. The certification must be completed within two years of the scholarship award. READ MORE






City of Tucson/Goodwill Grant - Pima Co One Stop is Grant Manager


Purpose: The grant can help by paying for any type of training for Employees who are currently earning under $14.29 an hour, in a new skill that will qualify them to make over $14.29.


Industries: Manufacturing, Hi-Tech, Logistics (including CDL training), Medical and Green-Related


Requirements: The company must be inside the Tucson City Limits or have an operation/building inside the Tucson city limits.


Advantages: of this program include:


  • We can arrange for Instructors to come to your worksite to conduct training.


  • The Instructors can tailor a class curriculum to your company needs.


Types of Classes: The class can be in most any area your team is needing whether technical, hands on machine operation learning or academic, which results in a new skill/new job classification level, and will lead to a raise greater than $14.29.


Classes can be provided by an authorized trainer in addition to these training institutions:


Pima College: any classes your group is needing. The Workforce & Business Development Unit at PCC can also help design classes you are needing.


New Horizons Computer Learning Center of So. AZ


HDS. PCC Truck Driver’s Training, ect.


APICS - Supply Chain Management/Operations Management/Lean Enterprise and other business courses tailored to your needs
