Jason Yates, CPIM
 About the Speaker:
Jason is a Buyer/Planner for Spectral Instruments, Inc. in Tucson AZ. Raised in Ohio, originally attended Bowling Green State University then transferred to New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology. Worked for the New Mexico Bureau of Mines and Mineral Resources in the clay mineralogy lab. Majored in geology, minored in computer science. After college employed at a large (1million square feet+) vertically-integrated pork processing plant in Oklahoma. Originally hired to rework an MRO software system that had been installed incorrectly. Promoted to managing the MRO warehouse and other storerooms. Moved to Tucson about ten years ago and worked as Purchasing Manager for a medical device manufacturer. Started with Spectral Instruments eight years ago as Buyer/Planner. In charge of all purchasing, production scheduling/planning, inventory management, and IT. Became CPIM certified in 2004, became an instructor in 2008.
